Field Service Engineer - Midlands

The Role

The role will involve a dynamic mix of both preventative maintenance and breakdowns on various garage equipment including Vehicle Lifts, Compressors and MOT Equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Planned maintenance & repairs of a wide range of garage equipment.
  • Servicing & repairing equipment on a call out basis.
  • Completion and submission of necessary paperwork accurately & in a timely fashion.
  • Compliance to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety within the workplace.
  • Liaising with Service Controllers.
  • Ensuring van is effectively stocked.

Location

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants from the Midlands area.

 

Person Specification

  • Good working knowledge and experience of the Mechanical Engineering environment, including Hydraulics and Pneumatics and a good understanding of Electrics.
  • Experience in Servicing / Repairs of Garage Equipment or a background in Plant Maintenance or similar would be advantageous as would present or past GEA accreditation.
  • Works well within a team of other engineers and Service Controllers.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Posses’ good communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license is required.
  • Prepared for overnight stays from home if required.

Small Tools Calibration Engineer

The Role

The role involves traveling to customer workshops across the UK to fulfil the calibration of small tools as per the contract terms. Responsibilities include:

  • Planned calibration of small tools.
  • Completion and submission of necessary paperwork accurately & in a timely fashion.
  • Issuing accurate certification and labels.
  • Compliance to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety within the workplace.
  • Liaising with Service Controllers for scheduled workload.
  • Ensuring van is effectively stocked.
  • Working independently and as part of a team to meet targets.

Location

  • This is a nationwide role, therefore current requirements mean travel anywhere from Newcastle to Southend-on-Sea.

 

Person Specification

  • You will have experience in the calibration of small tools.
  • Works well within a team of other engineers and Service Controllers.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Posses’ good communication and customer service skills.
  • Good timekeeping and reliability.
  • Full UK driving license is required.
  • Prepared for overnight stays from home.
